The Nissan LEAF pure electric car will be launched in North America in December 2010.
Nissan has already begun signing up the early adopters through their website NissanUSA.com. On that site a person can pre-order the car for a $99 fully refundable deposit.
The base model of the car will be $32, 780, but purchasers will be entitled to a $7500 tax credit, which bring s the price effectively to $25,280.

UK – February 2011 – £23,350
Ireland – February 2011 – €29,995
Portugal – December 2010 – €29,955
Netherlands – December 2010 – €32,839 (but with tax benefits of €6,000- €19,000 over 5 years)
Japan – December 2010 – ¥3.76 yen (less current ¥770,000)
